One month countdown - Tent Repair Needed

Okay, so I'm at the one month countdown to departing on the tour. Getting all of the details taken care of so I can get out on the road.

I haven't used my tent for a while so today I set it up to air and go over it to see if there are any problems. The tent is an REI Arete ASL 2 (All season light weight two-person). I really like this tent. Well, wouldn't you know it, I found a small hole in the rain/storm fly, so now I have to get it fixed.

If it wasn't for past experience, I probably wouldn't bother. But, on my last tour, after days of wonderful weather, my first day on tour it rained. And then it continued to rain just about every day for the next month. Yeah, I used the rain fly every single day! And this time, I'm heading out even earlier in the year so I'll catch most of the April showers that will be coming through.

I emailed REI about it - one of the reasons most of my camping gear is from REI is both the quality of the goods and their customer service.

While I wouldn't be surprised if they sent me a replacement or repair kit for free, I simply asked about the best material/method to patch it as I no longer have the pamphlet that came with it.
